A positive story coming out of Leyton Orient this week the takeover of the club by a consortium led by Nigel Travis the chief executive Dunkin doughnuts which brings Francesco Becchetti reign as the owner to an end.
Becchetti recently paid up debt to the club and sells the club without any debts to the bank or any arrears for taxes. It’s good news Leyton Orient fans who protested over the ownership of the club under the Italian.
Nigel Travis heading up The Consortium is a lifelong Orient fan and will become chairman of the club II investor Kent Teague has been appointed to the board it’s good to hear that a fan representative will also be appointed to the board.
As with any new owners it’s going to take time for trust to be gained but it seems like the steps are being made already with the appointment of a fan to the board
