How the club’s in crisis have started

A couple of games into the season we now have the chance to catch up on how the various clubs in crisis have started the season so far.

An opening day defeat to Bradford 2-1 and then a 1-0 loss to Wigan in the cup. This Saturday Blackpool picked up all three points in a one nil victory over the MK Dons at home.

Squad building over the summer went well, no big names but one of last years key performers Brad Potts departed just before the start of the season for Barnsley and so far no replacement has come in.

Some fans think Blackpool might struggle to keep hold if manager Gary Bowyer later in the season when roles elsewhere become available.

Blackburn Rovers

A poor start in the league, away defeat to Southend and a 1-3 loss at home to Doncaster. A win at fellow club in crisis Coventry in the cup the only highlight. Rovers are one of the bookies favourites for promotion.

Mixed start for Charlton a win at home in the league against Bristol City, a win in the cup at Exeter and then a loss to at Plymouth in the league.

A good start to the season for the sky blues with two wins in the league 3-0 at home to Notts County and then 2-0 away at Grimsby. Check out the first goal in the match in the video below.

Leyton Orient

A mixed start for the O’s in the conference two wins at home and a loss on the road. Home attendances 4,411 and 5,08 pretty good for non-league.
