Blackpool fans stay away as the club clinch promotion

Last weekend Blackpool FC fans continued their NAPM (not a penny more) stance by staying away from the League Two playoff final at Wembley. Blackpool beat Exeter City to secure a place in League one but fewer than 6,000 Blackpool fans attended.

This is in contrast to 30,000 plus in play-off finals against Cardif in 2010 and West Ham 2012. Fans instead watched the game from home and pubs back in Blackpool.

Fans decided not to attend as a percentage of ticket sales go back to Blackpool FC. NAPM fans are are committed not to giving any more more money to the the owners the Oystons hence the decision to stay away.
